Erin’s bike was stolen, so Ben bought her a new one! The ring was hidden in the pouch under her seat!

The extra fabulous Quinn Peyser  of Quinnep Doodles has created yet another awesome canvas! My friend Jaime’s birthday was last month and this was her very late gift(sorry!) . I love it! Quinn did such a fanastic job of doodling and then keeping it secret…which she did by avoiding Jaime for most of the month of March. Ha! If you have never been to Quinn’s site before, make sure you head over and check her out. She is a fantastic doodler;) Thanks for all of your help on this Quinn!

This past week, I headed over to my friend’s house to take a few shots of their newest addition, Ruby Grace. She is absolutely precious!! And very well behaved! She slept the entire shoot, which worked out perfectly! I brought my portable studio with me but I didn’t even need to get it out of the car. Kelly & Cage have so many cool things in their house, that we decided to forgo the black sheet and use some props from around the house. This first picture is my absolute favorite! Kelly & Cage thank you for welcoming me into your house, letting me mess it up a bit, and for watching Reece – my not so handy assistant! I have already told both of you this, but once again, Congratulations!!!

This past weekend, I met up with Kristen & Todd in West Knoxville to take their engagement pictures.  I told them at the beginning of the session that the theme for the shoot was “trespassing”. Luckily, we were only asked to leave one location. Thank you Mr. Security guard for not really erasing my pictures!! And thank you Kristen and Todd for letting me drag you all over town. I had such a great time with the two of you! I cannot wait to shoot your wedding in June!

While I took these pictures about two weeks ago, I wanted to save them for this particular blog post. My blog has now been up and running for 1 full year. Yipppeeee! Happy birthday Blog!! I originally started this blog as a way to keep the number of picture emails that I was sending out to a minimum. I was starting to clutter up my family and friend’s email inboxes with pictures! So…what started as a hobby has now become so much more…It is now my job!  Somedays, it still feels weird to tell people that I am a photographer! I never really intended to be a photographer but to be honest…I couldn’t be happier! This year has been absolutely amazing!! A HUGE thank you to everyone that booked a session with me this year and to everyone that passed my name along to a friend… or even a stranger. You all helped make this possible and for that I am eternally grateful!

So, what does this post have to do with Greta’s birthday? Well, everything! A few days after I bought my camera last year, I took it to Greta’s birthday party for practice. I posted the pictures I had taken on my blog and after that, the inquiries started. Soon, my friends were asking me to take pictures of their children and families… and that is how I wound up here, where I am today. So, Greta’s birthday party will always mean something special to me. It is where I got my start:) Thank you John and Jennifer for throwing such a fantastic party …I really do look forward to it each and every year! Happy Birthday Greta!!

Greta’s party always has a theme. This year everyone was supposed to dress up as their favorite super hero! My children made up their own super heroes!
