Big Cee, Middle Tee, and Little Gee

Last Wednesday, I headed over to Cee, Tee & Gee’s house for a little afternoon fun. The kids were a bit shy around me at first at first but they came around after just a few minutes. By the end of the session Cee and I were pals, Tee was over me  and I think Gee was just too little to even notice me. Haha! We started the session out at their house and then headed over to their Grandma and Grandpa’s house on the water. It started to sprinkle halfway through out session but let up just in time for a beautiful sunset and some fantastic lighting. Thank you Cee, Tee, Gee & parents for spending your afternoon with me, I had a great time with all of you!!

Cee is about to lose her first tooth, so I wanted to make sure I got a fun shot of all of her baby teeth:)

Shanna- Happy Birthday Fabulous!

Saturday night, I photographed Shanna’s 30th birthday party at the super cool Skybox bar in downtown Knoxville. I had no idea what to expect as I had never met Shanna before but she was AWESOME!! She is stunningly beautiful, fun and super laid back. I can’t say enough about her or her friends… everyone was absolutely amazing…as was the party! We spent most of the night at Skybox and then headed over to the Valarium for a little late night dancing at Voodoo night. I think a good time was had by all! Thank you Shanna & Robbie for asking me to photograph such a special and fantastic event. Happy Birthday Shanna!!

Shanna needed a few headshots, so we headed to the bottom of the Sunsphere for a few shots. 

Her cake was awesome! Shanna is in culinary school, hence the chef hat.

Bryan, Brooke & Harper

This past weekend, I made the trek up to Campbell county to photograph the super talented Bryan Allen and his beautiful girls, Brooke and Harper. You may remember Harper from a previous shoot, click here to see those photos. This was probably one of the most action packed family shoots I have ever  had. We played dinosaurs, made coffee and red bud pie (don’t ask), walked, talked, rode bikes and at one point I was dangling from the limbs of a hemlock tree. I was filthy and worn out when I got home… always a sure sign of a great shoot;) Thank you Bryan, Brooke and Harper for welcoming me into your home…I had a great time taking these photos!

Playing catch up!

Hello faithful blog readers! I am still here but trying to play catch up this week! While I had a lot of fun last week in DC, it put me way behind!! If you are waiting on pictures, I assure you I have been up late every night since my return trying to get them done;) I hope to complete my to do list within the next few days.

I have had a lot of inquires lately for family shoots, which I love! Thank you everyone for your fantastic referrals!! If you have not set a date yet for your shoot please let me know soon when you are available – I am starting to book up pretty quickly and I will be out of town for 2 weeks at the end of May – beginning of June. Kendrah & Karlis – Truly. Madly. Deeply.

Last week while I was in DC, I met up with Kendrah and Karlis to shoot their engagement session. We started off in the gardens behind the Smithsonian (“the castle”) and then made our way up to Chinatown – ducking into alleys and doorways along the way.  It was an absolute pleasure to shoot these two!! The chemistry between them is unbelievable!! After the first few minutes, it was absolutely apparent that they are madly in love – which made my job that much easier!! Congratulations Kendrah and Karlis on your engagement!! I cannot wait for your wedding in October!
