Last weekend, while I was in MD I spent some time outside playing with my nephew Joe and his favorite toy…his elephant…or Eh-sant…as he calls it. Here are a few of my favorites!

Surprise! I pulled up to my parent’s house today and my father had a fantastic surprise for me! My dad purchased this beautiful hand painted picture back in 1967 while serving in Vietnam. The picture was passed down to me from my grandmother over 2 years ago and has been hanging on the wall in my room via pushpin. My dad decided to take the picture home with him, matte it and build a frame for it…to give it a better showing. I absolutely love it! This frame is just the latest and greatest thing that my father has built for me in the past few years. Once my room is complete I will have to take a picture of the other frame and complete bedroom set that he has built for me.
Thank you so much for this piece of art dad, I LOVE IT! And I Love you!

The man behind the frame:)

Beautiful inlay work:)

Child’s Play

This afternoon, my mother, the kids and I all headed up to Baltimore to spend a few fun filled hours at Port Discovery in downtown Baltimore. If you have children and live in MD or ever go to MD to visit, this is definitely a stop that needs to be added to the itinerary. The kids had such a great time… as did I watching them play! Joce and Reece even passed out on the car ride home!! Here are a couple of fun pictures from our day!

Here are the kids before heading inside. Oh yay, a kid’s museum. Don’t they look so excited?! (Whomp, Whomp)

Um, 15 minutes later.

I spray this in my face, right?

He sat in the corner and did this for at least 5 minutes.

Time to dry off!!

Quote of the day, “That was better than Guitar Hero!!”.
Mission Accomplished!

While I was home I got to spend some time with my nephew…well kind of. He spent most of his time in the cabinet in the kitchen…probably hiding from crazy camera- face girl! Enjoy!

Swimming like a fish, fish.

Cade and Joce have been taking swimming lessons for the last month, so I decided it was time to bring my camera to class for a few action shots. Luckily, they are so used to seeing the camera glued to my face that candids are not an issue for us. Enjoy!
(The title of this post is a saying that my brother came up with when Cade was a baby. Whenever Cade used to take a bath and splash around, my brother Gabe would ask if he was swimming like a fish, fish. The saying has just kind of stuck with us and it just seemed so fitting for this post!)

Stormy Weather…

Storm season has already started here in East TN!! This was one of the many scenes we saw today on the ride home from swimming lessons.

This is what was headed right towards the firefighters. It was pretty scary out there today!!!
The Best Day EVER!!!

Yesterday was coined by my 5 year old as The Best Day EVER! His day started with a school cancellation due to the weather, followed by sledding, McDonalds, more sledding, and then bedtime. The kids absolutely LOVED sledding! Here are a few pictures of them on the snow ramp we built in the backyard. We have a hill in the back but it wasn’t quite steep enough, but this ramp helped fix that;) Enjoy!

Let it Snow!

We got more snow today!! The kids were so excited to go outside this afternoon and build an even bigger snowman than they did last time. Unfortunately, we got a little carried away and the mid section was too heavy for me to lift, so we had to be a little creative with our snowman:)

The kids love playing in daddy’s Bronco, while they wait for him to come home after work.
