On new years eve, I made the trip down to Atlanta to photograph my final wedding of 2009 at the Druid Hills Golf Club. I was so excited to meet Fiona & Joe and their wedding was as amazing as I expected…from Scottish traditions to gorgeous decor and a fabulous party, I can’t imagine a better way to ring in the new year! Congratulations Fiona & Joe!!

Two weeks ago, I second shot Angie & Robb’s wedding at the Villa Christina along side the very talented Bryan Allen in Atlanta, GA. If anyone came to this wedding without a clear understanding of why they call Atlanta “Hotlanta”, I am sure they completely understand now. It was unbelievably hot on Friday during the rehearsal. Luckily, it did cool off a bit on wedding day! In spite of the heat, Angie and Robb had a beautiful wedding at the Villa followed but a laid back reception with family and friends at The Pavillion of East Cobb. Saturday morning, I made the trek down to the Atlanta Botanical Garden to meet up with this very fun and super cute family of four. I had never been to the Atlanta Botanical Garden before, so I was not sure what to expect…what an amazing place!!! We didn’t even have time to cover the entire property! I am going to have to make a special trip back just to visit the parts of the garden that we were unable to see!
We started of in the Children’s Garden and from there just wandered around the gardens until Aila passed out and Maximo had had enough. They both did a fantastic job, as did Cameron and Jess who both fell victim to the swarms of mosquitoes flying around. Some how I made it through the entire session bug bite free, that never happens!
Cameron, Jess, Maximo and Aila thank you for spending your Saturday morning with me, I had such a great time!

This past weekend, I headed down to Atlanta for a long weekend of shooting. Three days worth of shooting to be exact:) I second shot a rehearsal dinner, wedding & part of a post wedding brunch, all of which I will try to post later in the week! I was completely exhausted Sunday morning but I stopped off to visit some friends before heading home to Knoxville. You may remember Pam, Dev, & Maya from their shoot a few months ago. As happy as I was to visit with Pam and Dev, I was equally sad because they are preparing to move back to Maryland at the end of this month. This visit with them will be my last for a few months. I have really enjoyed watching Maya grow over the last few months; she gets more beautiful each time I see her. Pam, Dev, Maya & Roxy you will be missed!
Pam & Dev had a few friends over while I was there so I grabbed a few shots of their children as well (Alia & Maximo). Alia slept most of the time, so most of the pictures are of Maximo.

While I was in Atlanta 2 weekends ago I got to photograph another new and terrific family! Jen, Herb, Hallie & Pedro live in a beautiful neighborhood in Roswell, so we just kind of walked around their subdivision looking for fun places to shoot. I think we were able to find quite a few! Thank you all for spending your afternoon with me. I had a great time and it was a pleasure meeting you! Enjoy!
