After the Egyptian celebration ended on Friday night, I raced home, uploaded my cards, packed my bags and headed to the eastern shore to second shoot another wedding with one of my favorite photographers, MK McKenna! Amy and Nate were married Saturday evening at The Oaks Country Inn in Saint Michaels, MD.
WOW, WOW, WOW is all I can say about this couple, their family, and their friends. What an amazing group of people!! I am not even sure there are words to describe Amy and Nate or the love that they have for each other. It was an amazing gift to be able to witness the marriage of two people so madly in love. My outlook on love and life will forever be changed after shooting this wedding. Amy and Nate thank you so very much for being the people that you are and for allowing me to be part of such an amazing day. And of course thank you a million times over to Mk McKenna for being such an awesome photographer to work with and for being such a great friend!

I am still trying to remember what I said to get this reaction. haha

Last Friday night, I joined the super fabulous MK McKenna to shoot Inge and Sherif’s post wedding celebration at the Westin Grand in DC. This was my first Egyptian wedding so I had no idea what to expect…let me just say…it was all that and then some! I have never seen such an eventful dance floor…the dancing was unbelievable! I cannot tell you how many times I wanted to drop my camera and jump into the nearest dance circle but that probably would have frightened the guests, so I decided to stay behind my camera and do what I do best!
Thank you MK for asking me to second shoot this special event with you and Congratulations to Inge and Sherif!!

Inge’s shoes were awesome!! I couldn’t decide which picture I liked better so I am posting both!

i am excited to report that i am in maryland for the weekend to help celebrate and photograph honfest 2009. we will also publicly launch the blonde creative! to find out more about this exciting festival and new artistic endeavor please follow the links to the sites below!!
honfest is an amazing festival that takes place on the streets of hampden – one of the most fabulous neighborhoods in baltimore! hampden is home to tons of inspiring artists and characters, and lots of just plain good people. the annual honfest is much more than a local tradition – it is truly an international craze! the classic baltimore (bawl-mer) term of endearment, hon (short for honey), is at the root of this exuberant celebration that honors the honest, hard-working, fun-loving women of baltimore. yeah hons!
this year i will be joining the blonde creative as we bring even more energy and excitement to the festival with an amazing booth featuring blonde photo, quinnep doodles, 5ringsphoto and mary kate mckenna photography! in addition to all sorts of surprises and fun, there will be raffles and giveaways, and a super-fun photo booth (complete with life sized hon- doodle!) to help capture the hon in everyone!
more info to come soon – click here for more details – and we hope to see you there!
