Last month, while I was in Nashville for my photography workshop I stayed with an old friend of mine. Karen was one of the only friends I had when we lived in Nashville 6 years ago and I haven’t seen her since I moved away 6 years ago….so I was thrilled to reconnect with her even if it was only for a day. While I was there I grabbed a few shots of her and her beautiful family at the Factory in Franklin. Thank you Karen and Aaron for putting me up for 2 days!! P.S. The kids are unbelievably beautiful:)

When I met Laura & Gene last May at Shanna’s birthday party I knew I wanted to shoot their wedding. These two were (and still are) completely outrageous!! I could not keep my camera away from them, they were explosive!! You never knew what was coming next and their wedding last week was no different. They had so many surprises for their guests, from Laura’s arrival to the ceremony via tractor to the hand grenade she had under her dress for the surprise garter toss. This wedding was truly unique and I am so happy they asked me to document it. Congratulations to Laura & Gene…wishing you two a lifetime of happiness!

A HUGE thank you to The Blonde Photographer, Jaime Windon and Quinn Peyser of Quinnep Doodles for joining me at this wedding.

After the vineyard, we headed back up to the tent to party with the guests. When we got back to the tent Laura hopped up on stage and sang a song to Gene.Laura&GeneBlog-28blog

After the cake cutting, Laura did a quick wardrobe change and she and Gene did a little swing dancing…which was amazing!

After the fun ended and the rest of us headed home, Laura & Gene packed up and headed out the door for a 2 week adventure in Italy (they are still there). I hope you two are having a fantastic time!!

This past weekend, I made the trek up to Campbell county to photograph the super talented Bryan Allen and his beautiful girls, Brooke and Harper. You may remember Harper from a previous shoot, click here to see those photos. This was probably one of the most action packed family shoots I have ever  had. We played dinosaurs, made coffee and red bud pie (don’t ask), walked, talked, rode bikes and at one point I was dangling from the limbs of a hemlock tree. I was filthy and worn out when I got home… always a sure sign of a great shoot;) Thank you Bryan, Brooke and Harper for welcoming me into your home…I had a great time taking these photos!
