5 Fruitcakes!

Behold our 2009 Holiday Card. I figured everyone could use a little laughter this holiday season…at our expense of course:) It took us two attempts to get this shot, numerous lollipops and my poor husband had to sacrifice his beloved beard for the picture…thanks dear:) It was tough coming up with another fun idea to match last year’s card (https://5rings.wordpress.com/2008/12/21/which-list-will-you-be-on-this-year/) but hopefully we succeeded.

Merry Christmas!!

This would have been the picture but I cropped it too close in camera…oops!

This was our first attempt. We didn’t love it.

Last week while I was in Maryland I photographed Mark and Meghan and the newest addition to their family, their 3 month old daughter Harper. Harper is an absolute doll, as you can see from the pictures and she did such a great job during our session. She was all smiles for most of the session.

Mark, Megan, and Harper thank you for spending your morning with me!

Harper was just waking up from her morning nap when I arrived. So we did a quick wardrobe change and started our session.

We headed outside for a few shots but it was pretty chilly and super windy so after just a few shots we headed back inside to finish the session.

Oh hi Morgan! One of the most well behaved dogs I have ever seen!

She even gives hi fives!

This was one of the last shots I took at the session and it is one of my favorites. Sweet Harper:)

After my early morning session with Stacy and Will, I headed over to Northern Virginia to meet up with Clare and Dave. Clare and Dave are also expecting their first baby this winter. These two were so much fun to photograph, they have a lot of fun with each other and I have no doubt they will be great parents! Clare scouted out a walking trail near their house, so we hopped on the trail and walked until we could walk no more. We were able to find so many fun spots…great scouting Clare! Congratulations to both of you and thank you fro spending your Sunday evening with me!

While Clare and Dave were getting ready I grabbed a few shots of Sascha, the cutest little dog ever! I wanted to take him home with me!

Last weekend, I got to hang out with Keaton and her dog Ruby. We started the session at Keaton’s house and then headed over to Maryville College. I always have fun photographing children, you never know what you are going to get … smiles or tears…or both, within just a few seconds of each other. I got all of it, including some blue lollipop drool. Enjoy! You can see Keaton’s previous sessions here, here and here

I played with some texture on a couple of these;)

Hmm, got any snacks for me in there?
