Last week, I met up with Gillian and Mike to photograph their super fun engagement session on the South River in Edgewater, MD. After just a few minutes with these two I knew it was going to be a fun shoot…Gillian and Mike were both very laid back and up for anything…which is always a plus! Gillian and Mike thank you for being so awesome, I am really looking forward to shooting your wedding next month!! Enjoy!

While Gillian and Mike were getting ready, I grabbed a few shots of their dog Matti, she wasn’t sure what to think of me at first…

but she quickly warmed up to me once she realized I had treats in my pocket:)

After a few photos in the backyard, we hopped into the car and headed to downtown Annapolis and Eastport for a few shots.

We got caught on the bridge on the way into Eastport, so we figured we may as well jump out and get a few shots. It gave the rest of the people on the bridge something to talk about:)

This past week, I met up with one of my couples to shoot their engagement session in beautiful downtown Savannah. When I arrived in Savannah on Tuesday the weather was perfect! Big puffy white clouds, blue skies and warm sun. What a perfect day for an engagement session (and in Savannah no less)! But mother nature had bigger plans for Carrie & Landon’s shoot. By the time they arrived in Savannah later that evening, those big puffy white clouds had turned to the darkest shade of gray. As soon as they stepped foot in Lafayette Square  to start their session, it started pouring! I was able to fire off a couple of shots but we quickly figured out that we needed to go to plan B. We found the nearest restaurant (Isaac’s) and decided to lie low until the rain stopped…which never really happened. While this could have ruined their trip to Savannah and the entire session, we decided to adapt and I must say… I am so pleased with the results!! Carrie & Landon – thank you for making the trek down to Savannah and for being so awesome. I absolutely loved meeting both of you and cannot wait to shoot your wedding this fall!!

Last Sunday night I met up with Stephanie and Kevin to do their engagement pictures. They are getting married this spring in St. Lucia! Oh la la! We started off out west and worked our way towards downtown Knoxville …stopping in Sequoyah Hills and the Market Square parking garage along the way. I had such a great time with these two. They were up for anything and they didn’t complain once…even after I told them repeatedly, “this is the last shot, I promise” (and it really wasn’t).

Thanks for spending the evening with me Stephanie & Kevin. Congratulations on your engagement!!

I love this one!

I was getting sun flare from all over the place, so I just decided to work with it;)

Sorry Kevin! This made me laugh…so I had to post it!

Marjorie & Jeff

This past weekend I made the trek up to DC to shoot a wedding and an engagement session with Jaime Windon – also known as the blonde photogragher (check out her site if you have not already). I had such a great time! Jaime is very fun, very nice and very talented!! She and I went to the same high school but didn’t really meet for the first time until I was standing in her apartment. I don’t think either of us knew what to expect but we hit it off famously! I found her website through myspace and we have been conversing via email for the past few months. She has been such a great source of inspiration and knowledge for my photography. I am so glad I got to finally meet her in person:)

Ok, on to the  e-session. We met Marjorie and Jeff in Montrose Park in Georgetown right before dusk. The park is beautiful and had so many neat little places to shoot. Here are a handful of my favorite pictures from the day.

This is my favorite picture from the session. I cannot decide if I like it better black & white or in color.

At the end of the session they turned the cameras on us!

Thank you Marjorie, Jeff & Jaime for letting me tag along on this shoot. I had a great time! Congratulations on your engagement!!
